This solution is available if we have fitted your home with an Orisec intruder alarm and you opt to have a system that connects you to its ControlPlus App. Once the system is up and running, we can programme it to warn relatives, friends or neighbours if there is no activity within a zone or for any specified length of time.
For example, if an elderly parent fails to open a bedroom door in the morning, or enter well-used rooms such as the kitchen by a certain time the designated contacts can be notified.
Additionally, if you need other solutions to help protect your elderly relative, we can also install panic buttons and other detectors, such as for smoke, that can be linked to the app and again provide notifications. Panic buttons could, for instance, be placed on a skirting board in a living room, to provide a way to notify people in the event of a fall.
Once a notification is received the relative or friend can phone the home owner to find out what has happened and whether they need to call round, or to seek further assistance if they can not travel to the house themselves.
